Do you want to contribute to the development of our research data management organisation, and do you want to be part of a creative team in an international environment? Then maybe you are our new data steward, who will assist the project leaders in their research projects.

The position is available from 1 March 2024, or as soon as possible thereafter.


About the job


We are looking for a new colleague who will be responsible for the day-to-day management of our research data.
There will be many tasks and areas of responsibility; the most important ones are listed below:

  • Working closely with the research leaders to ensure data quality and integrity
  • Managing standard data definitions, metadata, data quality standards, and data life cycle
  • Provide solutions to data management analysis problems
  • Creating and maintaining databases for archiving analytic results and other research project information
  • Contribute to organising data collection activities
  • Contributing to preparation of data presentations and publications



Your profile


We expect that you will be an important part of the research environment and that you will contribute positively to the social working environment.
Furthermore, we imagine that you:
  • have a degree within related disciplines
  • have experience working with large and heterogenous datasets
  • work knowledge on regulations set forth by The Danish Data Protection Agency
  • have advanced communication skills with data owners and other stakeholders
  • have a diplomatic sense and can dedicate yourself to a complex organization
  • work independently and are both proactive and constructive in your approach to tasks and colleagues



Who we are


At the Department of Agroecology, our main goal is to contribute to sustainable solutions to some of the world’s biggest problems within the areas of soil, plants, animals, humans, and the environment. We want to make a difference by contributing to both fundamental knowledge generation and the attainment of sustainable production systems via innovative research, contracted policy advice, and education. We offer professional laboratories, greenhouses, semi-field, and field-scale research facilities, advanced computing capacities as well as an extensive national and international researcher network.  The department consists of seven research sections with around 300 highly dedicated employees, of which approximately 50% are scientific staff.
